Responsibilities
- Work with professional individuals on products specific to the transportation industry for school buses, mass transit trains and buses, law enforcement vehicles and locomotives
- Program mobile digital video recorders (MDVRs)
- Work on electronic boards
- Assist Production Manager in planning and performing production-related activities
- Prioritize, plan, schedule and assist in production activities to meet manufacturing objectives in timely and cost-effective manner
- Identify production issues, analyze root causes and derive resolutions
- Communicate complex issues to Production Manager for immediate resolution
- Develop production plan and schedule to ensure continuous operations
- Assist with logistics strategy to avoid downtime and delays
- Assist with production process improvements to improve workflow efficiency
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure manufactured product meets customer specifications
- Communicate production updates and errors to Production Manager on regular basis
- Generate and provide production-related reports to Production Manager and customers when needed
- Communicate with other internal departments in a professional manner via email and in person
- Be self-motivated, punctual, professional and dependable
Experience/Skills Required
- Must be computer savvy and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Must have basic mathematical skills
- Must have effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Must have strong organization skills, know how to prioritize and have a strong attention to detail
- Must know how to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
- Must be able to work independently and maintain a strong sense of urgency
- Must possess effective problem-solving skills
- Must be able to stand for hours
- Must be able to lift 50-pound boxes
Experience/Skills Preferred
- Preferred technical skills dealing with electronics and mobile video surveillance equipment
Schedule
- 8 hour shift
- Monday through Friday
- 8AM to 5PM
